Today, we remember one of the greatest martial artists and strategists in history, Miyamoto Musashi, who passed away in 1645.
Musashi is credited with fighting more than 60 duels and was never defeated. Beyond his skill with a sword, he was a master of strategy, psychology, discipline, and understanding human nature. The stories of how he got inside the minds of his opponents before a fight are absolutely fascinating.
If you’ve never read The Book of Five Rings, I highly recommend it. While it was written centuries ago, its lessons on preparation, adaptability, mindset, and leadership are still relevant today.
The more you study Musashi’s life, the more remarkable it becomes. His biography reads almost like legend, yet his principles continue to influence martial artists, military leaders, entrepreneurs, and competitors around the world.
A true warrior. A brilliant strategist. A lasting legacy.
Rest in peace, Musashi. ❤️🙏🏻
