🧠Have you ever heard that your gut is your second brain?🧠

This is because your gut has it's own nervous system called the enteric nervous system or ENS. ENS controls digestion and works closely with the brain affecting mood behavior and overall health.

Have you ever heard of "Leaky gut"?

Leaky gut is an increasing problem in America which is essentially increased gut permeability caused by poor diet, stress, environmental factors and overall lifestyle. What this means is that along with a decreased ability to absorb nutrients, you also allow bad stuff like bacteria and toxins from the digestive track into the bloodstream, causing inflammation and immune response.

Symptoms of leaky gut include bloating and gas, food sensitivities, fatigue, joint pain, skin issues, headaches and brain fog.

To heal the gut, you want to prioritize a whole foods diet, get better sleep, lower stress, and adopt certain fasting protocols.

đŸ’ȘOvercoming Gym IntimidationđŸ’Ș

Everyone in the gym was a beginner once, even the most confident lifters. Nobody showed up knowing everything.

Walking into a gym can feel like stepping into a place where everyone already knows what they’re doing. Machines look complicated, people seem confident, and it’s easy to feel like you don’t belong there yet.

Here are a few ways to overcome gym intimidation:

📋Start with a plan. Even a simple one. Knowing your first 3–5 exercises removes the anxiety.

đŸ€«Go at off-peak hours if you can. A quieter gym gives you space to learn without feeling watched.

đŸ™‹â€â™€ïžAsk for help; because there is no point in struggle bussing alone.

đŸ’„Show up! You belong here more than you think!!

Ever feel like you’re doing everything right, but something still feels off?

✅You’re eating well.
✅You’re getting your workouts in.
✅You’re staying consistent.

But your body just doesn’t feel the way it should. We see this a lot, and it usually comes down to a few things that get overlooked.

1ïžâƒŁ Stress is a big one. Even if you’re doing all the right things, high stress can slow progress and make you feel run down.

2ïžâƒŁ Sleep matters more than most people think. Not just how much you get, but how consistent it is.

3ïžâƒŁ And then there’s recovery. If you’re always pushing but never giving your body time to reset, it catches up with you.

Most people think the answer is to do more. More workouts, stricter diet, more discipline. But a lot of times the answer is actually the opposite. Train hard, but make sure your body can actually recover and adapt.

If you’ve been feeling stuck or off lately, it’s usually not a motivation issue. There’s just something in the system that needs to be adjusted.

Let’s talk about setbacks - From Trainer Bryan

The unfortunate reality of a fitness journey, is dealing with setbacks.

I’m here to tell you concretely that EVERYONE HAS SETBACKS. It’s part of the human experience. Whether it’s an injury, illness, or simply life taking over, at some point in your fitness journey you will have to deal with something getting in your way. The people who succeed are the ones to will bounce back and get after to it as soon as they are able. They do not let the setback dictate their future.

When you can consistently do this, it becomes somewhat of a superpower. You can even learn to turn the derail into a positive. For example a few years back I had a bad shoulder injury, and was unable to lift upper body, so I used that time to up my cardio to a point that I had never achieved before. Now I have a much more well rounded fitness routine.

So next time something appears to slow your progress down or get in your way, pause, breathe, and look for the opportunity in that moment.

Most people struggle with consistency in exercise, not effort. One simple tactic that works: habit stacking!
Attach your workout to something you already do or even better, something enjoyable.

For example:
🎧-Listen to your favorite podcast only when you’re walking.
đŸ“ș-Watch your go-to show only when you’re on the bike.
đŸ”-Grab your morning coffee, then go straight into a lift.

The habit you already have becomes the cue for the one you’re trying to build. Essentially becoming a positive trigger! That’s how routines actually stick.
