Good news and bad news!!
First the bad news. The track surface at DCTC will not be resurfaced this year. It was on the plans for the fall season in 2024, but has been moved to 2025. I know.......that's a bummer.
The good news is they batched a number of areas on the old track. I've provided some pictures to give you some reference to the areas. The first area is the first straight away where they filled in the sides with class 5 rock. Second area is the approach to the back straight away followed by the long stretch at the end of the straight away, much needed repair because of the turn in for the corner at the end of the long straight away. The next area was the approach to the twisty bits, two places and finally the runoff area on the last turn All in all, a much needed upgrade.

Old Honda's never die, they just come back as track cars! If you don't agree just ask Mark E Mausner who attended our school on May 4th to further test and tune his 1988 CRX. Thanks Mark for attending and if anyone has a pic of Mark's car zooming around the track, post it here. I was only able to get a last minute shot as he was putting it back on the trailer.
