Role Description The General Manager – Putt & Plate is a full-time, on-site role based in Roselle, IL, responsible for overseeing daily operations of the indoor golf facility and hospitality services. This role manages staff scheduling, training, and performance, ensuring smooth operation of Putt and golf simulators, front-of-house activities, and food and beverage service. The General Manager monitors customer experience, handles guest feedback, and implements service standards that promote repeat visits and positive referrals. Day-to-day tasks include supervising opening and closing procedures, managing inventory, coordinating events and league play, and maintaining facility cleanliness and safety. The role also involves basic financial oversight such as tracking revenue, managing expenses, and supporting marketing initiatives and local partnerships to grow the business.
Qualifications
Experience in hospitality, recreation, or retail management with responsibility for daily operations and staff supervision.
Knowledge of golf or sports facility operations, or strong interest in learning golf-related technology and services.
Ability to deliver consistent, high-quality customer service and resolve guest issues in a professional manner.
Strong organizational skills, including scheduling, inventory management, and adherence to safety and cleanliness standards.
Comfort with basic financial tasks such as monitoring sales, managing budgets, and supporting revenue growth initiatives.
Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coach team members and build a collaborative work environment.
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed based on business demand.
Previous experience planning or supporting events, leagues, or group activities is beneficial.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in hospitality, business, or sports management is a plus.
