🏈⚾🤼 WHAT SHOULD YOUR ATHLETE BE TRAINING RIGHT NOW?

Football, wrestling and baseball athletes are all at different points in their year right now, and their training should reflect that.

Training year-round doesn't mean training the same way year-round.

🏈 FOOTBALL — MAINTAIN & STAY HEALTHY

Football season is here. Now is NOT the time to destroy yourself in the weight room.

The focus should be:

• Maintain strength and explosiveness
• Mobility and flexibility
• Stability and injury reduction
• Fuel your body
• REST and recover

Practice and games are already giving athletes plenty of conditioning and contact. Extra training should help you perform better on game day, not leave you sore and exhausted for it.

🤼 WRESTLING — BUILD THE ENGINE

Wrestling season is coming, so NOW is the time to put in the work.

• Hit the weights HARD
• Build total-body strength
• Develop grip and pulling strength
• Train explosiveness
• Start building your conditioning base
• Work agility, balance and body control

Don't wait until the first wrestling practice to try getting into wrestling shape.

Build the strength and the engine now, then let wrestling practice sharpen it when the season gets here.

⚾ BASEBALL — BUILD THE ATHLETE

Baseball players have a great opportunity right now to get stronger, faster and more explosive.

• Build strength
• Develop power and explosiveness
• Improve acceleration and first-step quickness
• Train lateral movement and change of direction
• Develop rotational power
• Strengthen the shoulders, upper back and core
• Improve single-leg strength and stability
• Keep working on hip and shoulder mobility

Especially for younger baseball players, don't spend the entire offseason just taking swings and throwing.

Build a better ATHLETE and you'll build a better baseball player.

🌟 YOUNGER & MULTI-SPORT ATHLETES

For younger athletes, especially those playing multiple sports, don't rush specialization.

Build the ATHLETE first.

Sprint. Jump. Land. Change direction. Get stronger. Improve balance and coordination. Play different sports and learn how to move.

And just as important — get plenty of sleep, recover and have time to just be a kid.

The bigger the athletic foundation we build when they're young, the more they'll have to work with as they get older.

Young athletes don't need to train like miniature professionals. They need to become GREAT MOVERS.

Train for where you are RIGHT NOW.

🏈 Football: Maintain & Recover
🤼 Wrestling: Build Strength & Conditioning
⚾ Baseball: Build Strength, Speed & Athleticism
🌟 Younger Athletes: Build the Foundation

Made a little hype video for one of our athletes today! 💪

Avery has been absolutely killing it!
During our first block of training, we focused on mobility, confidence, explosiveness, and agility. Now that football season is here, our focus has shifted to maintaining strength, staying mobile, and continuing to improve his reaction time.

Keep putting in the work and have a great season, #79! 🏈

It's never too late to become a better athlete.

The goal just changes as athletes get older.

Younger athletes should focus on building a strong athletic foundation- balance, coordination, speed, and movement.

As they get older, that foundation turns into more strength, power, speed, and sport-specific performance.

No matter where an athlete is starting, there's always a way to get better, The key is training with a purpose!

💥 BOOM! 💥

Our latest training block is in the books, and these athletes put in the work!

Over the last few weeks, we focused on becoming more explosive and improving our ability to jump higher and farther. We even worked on having an "explosion word" a simple mental cue to flip the switch when it's time to go. Mine has always been "BOOM!", and a lot of the athletes adopted it too.

The results spoke for themselves:
- Improved broad jump distances
- Better landing mechanics
- Higher vertical jumps
- More explosive, confident movement

I'm proud of every athlete for showing up, working hard, and trusting the process. Keep building!

The best athletes aren't always the biggest, fastest, or strongest.

Most of the time, they're the ones who are willing to learn.

Learn how to move better. Learn how to compete. Learn how to handle tough situations. Learn how to keep working when things get hard.

As coaches, we can teach skills and drills. But athletes who listen, ask questions, and keep learning are usually the ones who improve the most.

Never stop learning. Never stop getting better.

Promotion/Placement Day tonight!

These athletes have worked their butts off the past few months. This block was focused on agility, balance, body control, and movement quality and they improved a TON.

Proud of the effort, attitude, and consistency they brought every week. Excited to recognize the work they’ve put in and see them move up tonight. 💪
