This cat is about as good as they come. Standing 14.3 hands and built just about perfect, he has the color, shape, and demeanor to get you noticed anywhere you take him and the way he rides is what really sets him apart.
For only being 5 years old, this gelding has an exceptional amount of experience in the bridle. He’ll lope pretty circles all day on a loose rein, neck rein around like one should, and has a good, hard stop. Ask him to back and he’ll tuck his head and back willingly every time. He stays soft, responsive, and enjoyable to ride, with a handle you’d expect to find on a horse twice his age. He’s extremely handy to have around and the kind that flat out makes you want to saddle up and ride.
He isn’t limited to arena work either. He’s had his fair share of real outside miles trotting fences, penning cattle, and traveling through rough country. Creeks, water, ditches, logs, and uneven country don’t bother him point him toward it and he’ll go on through. He’s also been exposed to plenty. You can swing a rope off him, crack a bullwhip off him, and he’s even had a big bouncy ball bounced all over him.
One of the best things about this gelding is his mind. He does not get hot. Work him in the arena, lope circles, get a job done, then drop the reins and sit around talking to your buddies. He’ll stand there quietly without you having to pick at him or fight him to stay put. He knows when it’s time to work and knows how to shut it off when the job is finished.
He’s extremely gentle, good-minded, handy, and downright fun to ride. At only 5 years old, he already has the handle, outside experience, and demeanor that are hard to find all wrapped up in one package. If you’re looking for a young gelding with the looks to turn heads, the mind to enjoy, and the ability to actually go do something, this grey horse deserves a serious look.
