Great Saturday night of racing after a long Friday night. Motor blew up in practice on Friday night, tried to source another late model motor with no luck. Had to use an old truck motor that my grandpa had laying around. Qualified p2, started outside front row for first race, Trevor had a rocket ship and was in a league of his own. While maintaining 2nd place trans popped out of gear causing us to lose a position, then I had to hold it in gear the remaining of the race ( which is trickier than you think when your digging) finished p3 the first race. Then had to use a bungeee cord to hold it in high gear for second race and made some wholesale adjustments and spring changes to the chassis. Started 8th second race and the car was on rails, made quick work of slicing through the field and was in 3rd by lap 3. Kept charging and accidentally got into Toni Mcray passing for the lead as the car was in a 4wheel drift ( sorry Toni I still think your my favorite driver). It wasn't over yet. Late race caution regrouped the field with Ryan Vargas out the back of us who had a killer car, really made me work for it as we were side by side trading paint the last few laps. Snagged the checkerd which we were super stoked about but lost it in tech after tech didn't agree with our motor. Big thanks to my grandparents Kenny and Marylou Smith for helping me out and Joe Nava for having a bad ass car and Ryan Partridge for helping make this car a rocketship also my mom dad sister my girlfriend Cheyanne and Cj foust for all the help. I would also like to thank my two new sponsors Jerry Tomeo and Tony John with Farmers Insurance !! We're gonna kick some A$$ next race when we get a late model motor back in it, car was a rocket ship!!!!

Senator's Cup Fall Classic comes to The Bullring at LVMS this weekend
Today starts of a weekend of Las Vegas racing at the Bullring/Las Vegas Motor speedway .
Andrew Porter will be back in the seat of the Kevin Bowles #21 Late Model to compete in the Fall Classic! Andrew is it new to this car nor the Race track, with competing from the with the 8 years olds in the Inex Bandoleros, the Legends to the Trucks and Late Models Andrew has years of racing experiences there at the Bullring.
Mid year while competing at Irwindale Speedway Andrew has kept in contact with Kevin Bowles and Andrew was offered to race his car with the help of SKAAMP Racing and Quick Pick Motorsports. Andrew was excited. With tuning this #21 Kevin Bowles Late Model for 2 full seasons and landing Rookie of the Year his first season in the car and numbers of top 3's and his last race at the Bullring a Top 10, Andrew feels good about a outstanding finish this upcoming weekend at The Bullring in Las Vegas.
Thursday the October 20th, starts a whole day of practice.

Visiting regional series racers, an appearance by a United States senator and a $15,000 first-place prize will be just some of the highlights of the Senator's Cup Fall Classic at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend.
U.S. Senator Dean Heller (R-Nev.), himself a former Bullring racer, will be on-hand for Saturday night's racing action that will include a $15,000 check to the winner of the 150-lap Super Late Models feature. Sen. Heller, the former Nevada Secretary of State (1995-2007) and representative for Nevada's Second Congressional District (2007-11), raced at The Bullring in the early 2000s.
Sen. Heller, who got into racing through his father, Jack, who raced Super Stocks, will present the champion's check in the Winner's Circle for the 150-lap Super Late Models feature. Defending champion Linny White of Fontana, Calif., will be among the Super Late Models drivers competing, along with local stars Noah Gragson, Dustin Ash, Kayli Barker, Jay Beasley and Chris Trickle.
The 150-lap NASCAR Super Late Models 150 and the Late Models 100 highlight a full slate of features spread out over the course of the weekend at the 3/8-mile paved oval. Defending champion Trevor Huddleston of Agoura Hills, Calif., will be back to go for another trip to the Winner's Circle.
Friday night kicks off the festivities with qualifying for the 24-car Super Late Models 150 and Late Models 100 features, along with various heat races and features for the USAC HPD Midgets, South West Tour Truck Series/Pro Trucks and U.S. Legends classes.
Then, on Saturday night, heat races and a qualifying session lead into features in the Bandolero, NASCAR Bombers, NASCAR Super Stocks, U.S. Legends, USAC HPD Midgets and South West Tour Truck Series/Pro Trucks divisions. The weekend's lengthiest features - the Late Models 100 and Super Late Models 150 - will feature pit stops at their midway points where car crews can add fuel, but not tires, for the races' second halves.
One of the most affordable entertainment options in Las Vegas, the Bullring's annual series will feature family friendly concession prices that include $2 hot dogs and Coca-Cola products and $3 Budweiser beer. Spectators can also save money by purchasing admission tickets in advance by visiting or calling the LVMS ticket office at 702.644.4444 or online at LVMS.com.

Then the wonderful stories of all the drivers and all the hardware !

Andrew and Kenny congratulations Andrew on your Super Truck Championship and 3rd place finish on your SWS Super Late Championship and Kenny on your 2nd Place finish in the Super Late Championship at Willow Springs.

Andrew got up on the podium and thanked all his sponsors his Crew Cheif Dale, Dad Scott, Grandma Marylou , Grandpa Kenny , Sister Aubree, Tyler and congratulated all his fellow drivers on how computable racing with them all and thanked all for also the friendship !

Kenny got up and told the story of his history of racing and how proud of his grandkids on racing too and a little bit on how he tried hard to catch Andrew in the trucks. Very proud and very Thankful.. He Thanked Gary and Robert and support from Marylou, Kimberly, Aubree, Scott, Dale and Tyler!

You couldn't of done it without Grandma Marylou Grandpa Kenny ,Crew Chief Dale Kutsch , Dad Scott ,Gary ,Tyler ,Ron's Rear End and Matt Jackson Thank You so much for all the support !

Andrew received a trophy and VP Racing fuel ,a Willow Springs Garage Rental ,a Hoosier hat and Jacket plus $425 cash for 1st place in the Trucks. A trophy , VP racing fuel certificate and Hooiser hat for 3rd place in the Super Late. Kenny a Trophy and VP racing fuel, a Hoosier Hat. Good job!

Andrew was in contention for a 2016 Toyota Tundra to win out of 8 other drivers. Mr Race Liberante won it. Congratulations Race !!
