Our family would like to thank David Mais for purchasing our lot 22 heifer, Daniel Howell and his family for purchasing our lot 23 and Kolby’s lot 66, and also Robert Scott for purchasing our pair consignment lot 24 at the Central States Sale today in Locust Grove. It was a great atmosphere with the dinner and fun auction Friday night and the sale today. There were cattle there for everyone and Mike and Larry did a great job along with Marilynn taking pictures and helping with other things. Jeff was in charge of the fun auction and the board has been great to work with. Dave was also helping keep everything moving forward, so it was a great time and we enjoyed the visit with friends while we were there.

Our family received an award this evening at the Central States dinner and banquet. We are humbled to have this award and appreciate the committee thinking of our family when consideration was given. We have a very small herd, but have been working at getting better, so thank you for this award, our family appreciates it very much!! Also, the sale order for tomorrow has been decided as well, so study your favorites and if you cannot attend in person, DVAuction is the place to be at noon tomorrow!! We hope to see you there and if you have any questions about our cattle, please let me know!! Our family’s consignments are 22,23,24,and 66.

If you need a cooler bag, nice cup and a hat, these will be part of the fun auction Friday at the Central States Sale in Locust Grove, Ok. The cooler bag is great big and the cups are pretty nice too. We hope you can join us Friday for the dinner and certainly the sale Saturday at noon!!

Her is another "fun auction" item. The bag is an insulated cooler.

Lot 24 and 24A in the sale Saturday. This calf was 50lbs when she was born and is already growing well. She is sired by our bull we call Doc that is in a previous post. The cow is foundation bred and should make a great cow with a great udder. Good disposition in this pair and she hasn’t been pushed on feed before or after calving. An honest heifer here with a heifer baby at her side. Thank you for looking!!

If you are looking for a feminine dun open heifer, she is one that you will like!! She is lot 23 at the Central States Sale in Locust Grove, Ok next Saturday May 13th. Polled and ready for the bull of your choice. She is pictured with her dam and her sire is pictured also. He is a Lasater 7261 son that we call Doc. He has consistently low birthweights and makes good females. Her grand sire on the dam’s side is Whitestar(Buster 525). We hope to see you at the sale and you can view and bid on DVAuction. Here she is, lot 22 in the Central States Mid-America Futurity!! If you are looking for a long bodied, all red, stout open heifer that is polled, don’t miss her. She is sired by the bull we call Whitestar and out of a CRIB Creek cow that does a good job for us every year. Great foundation genetics at work in this heifer, ready for the bull of your choice!! Here is lot 24 and 24A consigned to the Central States Sale on May 13th in Locust Grove, Ok at Noon. The calf is sired by our bull we call Doc who is a Lasater 7261 son. The calf weighed 50lbs when born and the heifer had her unassisted with no issues. The momma is out of a Buster 876 son we owned that made great females. She is an honest heifer that has been in the pasture and not pushed on feed and should work wherever you take her. The sires are pictured below. Our two herd bulls have made it through the winter doing well. It hasn’t been that cold for long periods of time like we have had the past few years. We will get them fertility tested before the spring sales and hope that they are both good. There is information with each picture and thank you for looking.

There is Running M 634 owned by Driston Self at Crooks Springs Farms in West Central, Missouri. The calf is a 73lb bull sired by his True Vine bull. He told us she has given him a calf every year and she is one of his favorite cows. He purchased two from us both at Springfield as Futurity heifers. We appreciate him letting us know how they are working for him and we are proud of how he is moving his herd in a good direction.
