Yesterday, we collected 21 units of life-saving blood. That can now impact 63 lives in our local communities.

This is a great example of living out the mission and the credo. Well-deserved recognition, F3 Plainfield!

The Plainfield Fire Protection District along with the Plainfield Park District recognized members of the Plainfield F3 Nation for saving one of their own during a morning workout on November 1, 2025. While conducting their morning workout at Bott Park, one of their members collapsed and was without a pulse or breathing. The group has conducted several CPR and AED trainings in the event of this type of incident were to ever occur. Because of their actions and the Park District having an AED readily accessible, their actions saved a life.

Each member recognized performed a vital life saving task which led to save one of their own. From starting CPR, to running to the park district building to grab their AED, to utilizing the AED to deliver a life saving shock, and dialing 911 and directing Plainfield Firefighter Paramedics to their location. Each one of their actions played a vital role in the patients full recovery.

Those recognized were Eric Heinz, Todd Bowers, Bradley Price, Andy Brawthen, Adam Giganti, Ryan Glasssman, Brian Phad, and Joel Scarborough.

We encourage everyone to learn CPR and how to utilize an AED. You never know when your training may make a difference.
