IMPORTANT! As we continue to grow the Romeo Peaches family and welcome new coaches into our organization, we're reminded that coaching is about so much more than wins and losses.
During tryout season, families will hear a lot of promises. Some coaches will tell you exactly what you want to hear.
But don't choose based on promises.
Choose based on what you can see.
Watch how coaches communicate.
Watch how they teach.
Watch how they respond to mistakes.
Watch how they treat every player—not just the most talented ones.
At Romeo Peaches, we know we're not perfect.
We're going to make mistakes. We're going to have difficult conversations. We'll have moments where we need to learn, improve, and do better.
But one thing we will never stop striving for is creating an environment where athletes (especially young ladies) feel valued, supported, challenged, and respected.
Because years from now, our players won't remember every score, every record, or every tournament finish.
They'll remember how they were treated.
They'll remember who believed in them.
And they'll remember whether the adults around them helped them grow—or made them feel small.
Kids don't quit sports.
They quit environments that make them feel small.
