9 years old Arden Morton

Killed her first gobbler at 18 yards this morning.

20 lbs, with an 11 inch beard and 1 inch spurs. Harvested in Lunenburg County, Virginia on opening day of the youth season.

Thank you Al for your craftsmanship, The Mighty Oak did the trick once again.

Fall bite still strong on the Mighty Susquehanna. Bride & I had a great morning!! After lunch we even took a nap on the river. Got two Muskies but no real big ones.

Great fall weather cool in the morning & hot by noon. By noon is when we get off the river. Today the fall Muskie bite started & it was great. We had 5 muskie on but only got 2 landed. The 3 we did not land was huge & very hard to hold with a # 2 hook, had them to the boat but they came lose.

Yes, we did go fishing this morning!! The fall bite is on, grab your rods & hit the water. Cold in the morning & hot afternoon!!

The Susquehanna is so clear you can see bottom in 5 feet of water, is the how she gets in the fall & the fall bite is on. We landed 11 walleyes & many Bass. It was another banner day for the bride as she landed most of them, for some reason they just did not hit my lures like they did hers. Come to find out at the end of the day I find out she was using her lures like a jerk bait with that stop & go retrieve.

The past week has been tough to get on the river because of the flooding. We did get some time in between floods & the water was hi & off color. Good thing is I got all my food plots in & a lot of Turkey Call Work done, which is a never end job.
