By increasing self-discipline and self-confidence, this training can promote a healthy, motivated, goal-oriented lifestyle that will lead a student to be more successful in his / her studies, career and family life a

nd that this improved self-image will help a student stand strong when faced with negative influences such as peer pressure. The goal of Peaceful Heart Traditional Karate-Do is to provide this training to students who may not be able to afford it otherwise. This goal will be achieved by partnering with community organizations, recreation departments, homeschool groups, public and private schools and fitness centers to conduct high quality training programs at an affordable price.

This is a big week for vacations and we’re so lucky to live in a place where we can choose beach days or a trip to the mountains! Last Saturday, we headed to the mountains and drove the Kancamagus! And what does sensei do on a day without karate? You guessed it, I did karate. Enjoy this video of Naifanchi Shodan on the top of the wall with the Whte Mountains in the background…and yes, the drop behind the wall was a little scary.
What’s your preference? Beach days or mountain days?

Thanks to all who came to the open dojo today! It was a great morning hanging out and working with our dojo family! Thanks Jim, Ken (thanks for the doughnuts!), Mike, Danielle, Kaz, Ronan and Jack! The best part had to be wrapping up with everyone doing Pinan Nidan; a group consisting of students aged 7 to 70!
