CALHOUN LEADS MID-AM BATTLE INTO HIGH-BANKED Wi******er Speedway
WI******ER, Ind. — The championship chase for the Mid-Am Racing Series hits a pivotal stretch as the tour heads into the legendary Wi******er Speedway for a high-speed showdown on the famous 37-degree high banks. At the head of the pack sits Daniel Calhoun, who holds the series point lead following a remarkably consistent campaign. Calhoun leads a stacked top five into Wi******er, but with the steep banking and punishing half-mile layout leaving zero room for error, the title fight remains wide open. Directly on Calhoun’s bumper in the championship standings is perennial frontrunner Cameron Vandermier in second, with veteran contender Kenny Richards holding down third place. Jeremiah Senko sits fourth, keeping himself well within striking distance, while standout rookie Keelen Arnold III completes the top five. Arnold’s impressive debut season has kept the pressure on the series veterans week in and week out.
With 40 laps of close-quarters stock car racing set to unfold on one of asphalt racing's toughest tracks, Calhoun will look to protect his points cushion while Vandermier, Richards, Senko, and Arnold aim to make their move on the high banks.
