We’re building something special at Jerez FC, and we’re looking for dedicated, passionate women who want to compete, develop, and grow with us.

Our Women’s Team will compete in the Premier Soccer League (PSL), with season running September 13 – November 1.

We’re looking for players who are:

Our goal is bigger than just one season. We’re working toward building a strong foundation and eventually becoming a semi-professional/professional club.

Philipp Riess (1923-2026)
Born in Sekitsch, Yugoslavia in 1923, Philipp Riess lived a remarkable life marked by resilience, service, and a lifelong passion for community and soccer.
During World War II, Philipp fought in Europe, was captured, and spent seven years in a Siberian prisoner-of-war camp.
Demonstrating his sharp mind and adaptability during extraordinary hardship, he learned six different languages during his years of captivity.
In 1953, Philipp immigrated to the United States and made his home in Aurora, Illinois. A hardworking and dedicated craftsman, he spent 22 years as a skilled machine maintenance technician at Anchor Brush.
Beyond his professional life, Philipp was a foundational figure in local sports. He helped establish the Aurora Kickers soccer team and managed the club for approximately 35 years. His dedication extended internationally: he organized cultural exchange tours, taking local players to Germany to compete and stay with host families, and later welcoming German teams to Aurora to compete against local and Chicago-area clubs.
Upon retiring to Florida, Philipp's enthusiasm for the sport never faded. He founded the 30-and-Over soccer league, then in the later years he started the over 40 and over 50 divisions spending countless hours on the phone coordinating games and bringing players together.
For the last three and a half years of his life, Philipp resided at Brookdale Assisted Living in New Port Richey, Florida, where he formed warm connections with the staff and caregivers who looked after him. Philipp passed away on June 24, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of endurance, friendship, and a truly well-lived life.
