Carlos Santos Dressage Carlos Santos was born and raised in the heartland of Luisitanos in Santarem, Portugal. As a young boy, Carlos developed a huge passion for horses.

He enrolled in a classical riding school, and he was taught the main foundation of classical dressage at the age of 13. He soon became one of the main riders at Casal Santa Maria Stables located in Lisbon, Portugal. The barn was highly known of having an impressive collection of high end breed Arabians; as they showed in the biggest show circuits in Europe. With time, Carlos found another opportun

ity to work for the Baron Bodo Von Bruemmer, as one of their main riders. Eventually, an American racetrack agent gave Carlos the chance to pursue a career of a jockey in the United States. Once he arrived in the States, Carlos, quickly rode for the legendary, Bobby Frankel. In the late 90's, Carlos decided to go back to his main passion in his horseman career, classical dressage. Since then, he has worked in the lovely Rolling Hills Estates, CA. He has developed many horses into high performance, sport horses. Currently, Carlos has several horses from a variety of breeds from Lusitanos to warmbloods
that he actively competes in CDI rated shows.
