With about nine days of warning and five days of practice, I told these three that I was basically forcing them to compete in MCCA's Stunt Competition, something our school had never done before. We didn't intend on winning, but gaining skills, confidence, and showing of our incredible female strength in a male dominated competition. Lilly is the strongest main base I know, our freshman Ellie is willing to try anything, and we basically trust Cooper with our lives backspotting.
They make such a killer trio that we decided to compete coed even though we knew it was not in the traditional sense. They took home fourth place after competing against 4a-6a teams with amazing coed programs with beautiful skills. I think that says a lot.
I have to thank MCCA for pulling us coaches aside the next day to give us some of the nicest, most genuine compliments about 's performance. They have a tough job and they really saw the uniqueness in her talent on that Coed mat. It is rare to get the kind of feedback! We feel lucky to have shown something different and can't wait for new challenges next year.

A week of gratitude would be incomplete without giving thanks for our sponsors this year!! We truly could not have done our season without them, let alone make it to state competition and take home the big win.

Community is everything, and this town does not disappoint. Rogersville is small but mighty, just like our team and we feel so blessed to have the support of our local businesses near and far.

LR Varsity Cheer is looking to add a couple more Male cheerleaders to our roster!! In our program, male athletes will get to compete, attend college recruitment clinics, and with hard work and dedication, they can even apply and excel in their sport at D1 levels! Many male high school athletes are surprised by the opportunities cheer can offer.

Currently, we are holding a mid-year tryout for at least one male and one female Backspot position. Due to the nature of the position, athletes must be above 5’6” for these tryouts.

📣K-12 Winter Stunt Clinic is here! 📣

Please sign up using the QR Code or the link below! This clinic is open to ALL K-12 athletes and can be from any school district. Please consider inviting friends from other districts or smaller schools that may not offer cheer clinics.

Whether you hope to try out for cheer some day or just want to come and have fun and try stunting for the first time, we want you there! Please encourage young boys and their friends to come out as well! Even if it’s just for fun and to support our squad!! I promise, stunting is as fun as it looks!
