Way to go girls! This group has been on 🔥 recently!!

Keep it up we are so proud of you all 🧡🩵

Finalists in a hard fought day on the diamond! It was a 105 degree heat index but that didn't slow down these girls!!! They went 3-1-1 on the day with great pitching, fielding and bats hotter than the heat index outscoring their opponents 47-14! We couldn't be more proud of these girls and their efforts. We can't wait to see what the fall holds for these girls. Way to bring the Thunder!!! 🥎🩵🧡🩵🧡🥎

A little Bible with Ballers moment!!

As I’ve watched this video over and over God keeps putting David on my heart.

For a little context, what you see in this video is a great play by an amazing young lady!!

What you don’t see is this girl watching games before we play and seeing what the competition does. She recognized they get a runner on, they try to bunt immediately. Knowing this she is prepared!
She doesn’t hesitate, immediately running to make the play.

Now here is where David comes to mind.

1 Samual 17.
You see the battle of David and Goliath.
Everyone feared Goliath. He is taller than the rest, stronger and no one will face him. No one but a little Shepherd boy.

David isn’t afraid of Goliath he knows God is on his side.

“And Saul said to David, “You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him, for you are but a youth, and he has been a man of war from his youth.” But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep sheep for his father. And when there came a lion, or a bear, and took a lamb from the flock, I went after him and struck him and delivered it out of his mouth. And if he arose against me, I caught him by his beard and struck him and killed him. Your servant has struck down both lions and bears, and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be like one of them, for he has defied the armies of the living God.””
‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭17‬:‭33‬-‭36‬ ‭

David was prepared. He knew God would deliver him because he had already faught Bear and Lions and with Gods help defeated both.

The next thing we see in verse 48 is David RAN at Goliath. No fear, no anxiety, No hesitation. He RAN at the giant.

“When the Philistine arose and came and drew near to meet David, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet the Philistine.”
‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭17‬:‭48

To end this long post, we can run at our fears. Run at our anxieties, run at our worries because God is on our side.

This team we played wasn’t bigger, like Goliath but the am I good enough, am I liked, am I important can creep in. Especially in young athletes life.

Let’s be like David and RUN at everything we do and leave the rest up to God!!

Behind on some post but we want to brag on our girls for a minute!!!

We had a Full slate of games Saturday and then a mid afternoon practice on Sunday!

Saturday our TN Thunder OG played in Morristown.

Finishing pool play as the 2 seed and undefeated. Then in bracket play lost to the Tournament champion in the semifinals game.

Our girls battled and fought hard all day.

Scoring 31 runs and giving up 16 total on the day.

Team batting average was .552 for the entire day.
32 hits, 26 RBIs, 8 walks and 17 stolen bases.
Only 5 strikeouts the entire day.

Pitching wise our ⚡️Thunder and Lighting⚡️Duo of Sydney Tipton and Paisley Evans keep the opposing teams in check with 7 strikeouts and creating multiple ground and pop outs by the girls backing them up in the field.

Sunday we returned to the field spending 2 more hours working on the few errors and reviewing plays from the previous day.

This group is special, family more than teammates!! We look forward to the fall where we can compete, grow and be ready for spring school ball season which is right around the corner!!
