Had a bit of a spill on the ice a few days ago that has escalated a bit more than I would have liked it to. X-rays this evening revealed nothing was fractured 🙏 thankfully. Some serious bruising on a couple bones though.
Unfortunately that leaves me 1-2 weeks without HIIT and /or running. Not ideal but could have been far worse.
Looking forward to seeing you all soon and will miss your faces in the meantime. ♥️

If I had a dime for every time I heard this one....
It goes back to that old question of "What weighs more, 1 lb of feathers or 1 lb of bricks?" 🤔
1 lb = 1 lb!
The truth? 1 lb of muscle is more COMPACT than 1 lb of fat (see slide 2). 💯💥
So what are some ways to increase muscle mass 💪🏋️‍♂️and burn fat?🔥
1. Tabata or HIIT workouts🔥
2. Lifting Weights🏋️‍♂️
3. Modifying your diet to meet the needs of your body and your workouts🥑🍓
4. Working in some low intensity activity (70% of you Max HR). Not every workout needs.to be or should be full throttle.🏃‍♀️
We are not all created equal - and ultimately all need to find a mix of activity, fuel and rest that meets our needs. Trial and error can be frustrating... But what we know is movement and a supportive diet is key. 🔑🔑

This isn't to say that every workout, every squat, every lift should strain and pain. However, it is to suggest that pushing toward the next level important rather than staying within your comfort zone. When I hit a flat road, I know it's time to make that push forward.
