Today On the Bench; Re*****on Model 700 in .223. Tons of rust, possible barrel/chamber obstruction, possible damage to chamber, rifling questionable. Gonna clean, strip, debur, and do a lot of pickling on this jewel. Also gonna upgrade the scope to a New Simmons fresh outta the box with all new hardware and rings. Then I'll give it a good, sound bluing and protectant, then make sure it operates and functions as it should. This beauty was not neglected by the owner, it was not in owner's possession and could not be attained due to circumstances. She looks rough for now...She'll shine like a diamond in a goat's a...Uh...well...It'll shine! Thank you for entrusting your baby in my hands!
