Good morning, friends! Due to the weather, we’ll be closed today — we’re still a bit iced and snowed in and letting things thaw out safely.

📞 Phones will still be answered, but there won’t be anyone in the office today.

DON’T SKIP THE BACKING 💡🎣

Quick shop tip: backing matters when spooling braided line. Without it, braid can slip on the spool and cause issues when you least expect it. A little backing helps everything stay tight, secure, and fishing the way it should.

In this video, we use a reel a customer brought in to show exactly why backing is important — a real-world example that makes the difference easy to see. And while it might seem like a no-brainer, this is something that can happen to anyone.

We hope everyone is fully caffeinated and bundled up this morning. Cause you’re gonna need it. The NW wind is clocking in around 20 mph this morning and clearly chose violence. It does plan on easing up to 13–15 mph later this evening, once it gets bored.
