FC Young Gunz takes the field in Christiansburg for the Commonwealth Cup — Virginia Fall State Championship.

A two-day championship format featuring a 4-game guarantee before the field battles through a double-elimination bracket for the title.

A group of our FC Young Gunz spent the evening at Roanoke College Softball Camp, getting quality reps through positional work, hitting, and defensive training.

There’s something different about training in a collegiate environment. We love the intensity, energy, and enthusiasm the Roanoke College coaches and players bring to every drill and every rep.

One message from tonight really stood out:

“Train with chaos, because you play with chaos.”

The game isn’t perfect or predictable. Learning to compete through pressure, make adjustments, communicate, and execute when things get uncomfortable is all part of developing into a complete athlete.

Opportunities like tonight challenge our girls to raise their expectations, sharpen their skills, and experience the standard and intensity of the game at the next level.

Proud of these Young Gunz for showing up ready to learn, work, and compete.

Thank you, Roanoke College Softball, for pouring into the next generation of athletes.
