Today has been truly remarkable. Having had the privilege of knowing Rick Bateman for several years, I took the opportunity to visit his school for an open mat session during my vacation, which further strengthened our professional relationship. This encounter has led to an ongoing exchange of ideas, including teaching at each other's institutions. Training under Rick's guidance is consistently enriching, and attending his seminar was a highlight. Both myself and Glenn Connie, along with several of our students, were in attendance. The value of training with diverse groups lies in its ability to enhance everyone's jiu jitsu skills. The experience was invaluable, and I plan to integrate his methodologies into my own curriculum.
