Origins of NASCUP1 Facebook friends.
After repeated attempts by Facebook to turn this group into a busines I will use it as a platform for NASCUP1 diecast collectibles. I have opened a store in Rocky Mount N.C. It is located in the Small Shops Marketplace at 2916 Sunset Avenue and will be open 7 days a week call 252-210-3081 for info. This will still be a group of friends who happened to be avid NASCAR fans from way back to the late 90’s. Many have become personal friends of Dave Porter. @PettyChamp was in honor of my good friend Omer Champion who has now passed on to the arms of God. Should be my address at facebook.com/daveporter.39 as I am sole adm. for this group. This group goes back to the days of MSN’s Web TV in the late 90’s and early 2000’s long before Facebook was ever a reality. We had 100’s of friends/members in the good old days. Facebook want’s me to buy an audience out of my Social Security income and I hardly believe that to be fair. lol I am hoping that they will allow us to continue as friends and fellow rabid NASCAR fans. I do need your input and opinions to keep this long time site alive. For those who may not know, I am a lifelong fan, former Quarter Midget Champ as a teenager and a Late Model Chevy driver who was offered a ride in a good Open Wheel Modified car years back. I loved racing but the money was less than I was making at my full time job in those days. Oh what might have been if todays big money were available then. I have been to eleven different tracks live and this will be my 6th year attending the Cup Championship at Homestead Florida. Oh, and yes, I was a Charter Member of The NASCAR Hall Of Fame in Charlotte.
