Day 2 guest speaker, Coach Anthony Redd from ZonedIn Performance & Health stopped by Central Gym this morning to bless our young men with a wealth of information.

Coach Redd talked about the keys to becoming a more balanced athlete.

1. Proper rest
2. Proper nutrition
3. Proper stretching

Coach Redd put our guys through several basic drills that tested their balance, stability, speed, and core strength. We have a great relationship with Coach Redd and he worked with our varsity team this past season with recovery. This was extremely helpful to us when we had two to three games per week. Thank you Coach Redd!

On behalf of Franklin County Boys Basketball I would like to thank Coach Dan Milloy for taking time out of his day to speak to our campers.

Coach Milloy spoke on several topics pertaining to the advantages of attending a junior college, the effects of the transfer portal, and NIL deals.

A lot of gems were dropped today and I hope our campers learned from Coach Milloy.

We are excited to announce the third quest speaker of the week, Mr. Josh Cunningham! Coach Cunningham will be joining us on Wednesday, June 18th at our boys’ basketball kids camp.

Josh Cunningham was born and raised in Roanoke, VA, where he developed a passion for basketball and a heart for investing in others. A graduate of William Byrd High School, Josh went on to play four years of collegiate basketball at Emory and Henry College.

Following college, Josh began his coaching career and spent six years at Roanoke Catholic School, including three seasons as the Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach. He later returned to his alma mater, William Byrd High School, where he served as Head Boys Basketball Coach for five seasons.

In 2021, Josh transitioned from coaching into full-time ministry. While his role has changed, his passion remains the same: helping young people grow to be strong, confident men who positively impact the world around them. Josh continues to love the game of basketball and values every opportunity to encourage young athletes both on and off the court. Through sports, Faith, and mentorship, he seeks to challenge the next generation to pursue excellence, build strong character, and live with purpose.
