Junior captain Timmy Kren demonstrating an easy back yard shooting drill. Alternate high and low shots. Begin with overhand and as you advance switch between overhand, sidearm, and underhand to work to work all release points. It is KEY to WORK QUICKLY with rapid scoops to shots. This will develop a quicker release and simulate live game situations. Awesome work, .4 !

Absolutely beautiful weather for tonight’s Senior Night! Thank you so much to Nathan’s fellow captains, and all the junior players/families who participated! And a HUGE thank you to Nathan and his mom, Amy, for everything they have given to the program these past four years. I know that things did not end the way we had hoped for you, Nathan, but you always have a home with us.

Big news out of Rams headquarters today. Our very own, class of 2021 has made a verbal commitment to continue his academic and lacrosse careers at Frostburg State University. Congrats, Eric, we are all very proud of you!

The first ever Rockville Rams IG post is an extremely special one for Coach Rutter and the program. Spring 2020 has not only been a trying time for athletes, but for everyone around the world. That said, it’s important for us to recognize someone who has been important to our program, in our little corner of the world. This post recognizes Nathan Pianalto, the lone returning senior in the 2020 class (shout outs to Michael Carvajal and Joseph Dohls, two first-year seniors). Coming into Nathan’s senior year, he had earned the role of Captain, and was penciled in as a starter along the close defense. Nathan was an absolute pleasure to coach, always leading by example, always engaged in what was going on, be it during practice, on the game field, or on the sideline. Nathan was a player that other players should look up to, and a staple of what this program has built and will continue to build going forward. Nathan will also always have a special place in Coach Rutter’s heart as his four years of HS aligned perfectly with Coach’s first four years here at Rockville. Nathan has never experienced a losing record in his time with Rockville lacrosse. We love you, and we can’t wait to see your accomplishments down the road! @ Rockville High School (Maryland)
