RFFL 2026 Fall Season is just around the corner, and we want to ensure everyone takes full advantage of our early bird pricing specials before upcoming fee deadlines.

NOTE: SUPER Early Bird TEAM Deadline is TODAY (Friday, August 28th) at MIDNIGHT ET! If you make one lump sum full team payment today, you only pay $600 for weekend COED or MENS league and only $675 for weeknight (Tues) COED or MENS league. PLUS - you get 20 roster spots!

It was not easy as their old/new/rewired arch nemesis Bombers took every game they played down to the wire.

But in the end BFC took home yet another title!

RFFL Players,

Our Tuesday Night Coed Division Playoffs are tomorrow night at Mark Twain Park in Rockville, MD, starting at 7:45 PM.

Per league rules, teams with at least four rostered players that fall short of the 8-player minimum may request league-provided subs. This policy ensures players who paid and showed up aren't penalized due to missing teammates. Teams with fewer than four rostered players will be forced to forfeit.

We need male sub players for tomorrow night's games:

7:45 PM Semifinal: Need 3 to 4 male players

8:35 PM Semifinal: Need at least 4 male players (QB urgently needed)

Important Details:

Full-Night Commitment: If the team you sub for wins, you will also play in the Championship Finals at 9:25 PM. Please only volunteer if you can commit to the entire evening.

Approval Required: Not all who reply will be eligible or approved; the league will select and confirm player assignments.

If you are 100% available and interested in playing, please reply to this email ASAP with your availability and position (especially if you can play QB).

Congrats to City Reapers who got redemption after losing a heartbreaker in triple overtime in the Sunday a.m. men’s division championships to hold on in a nail biter and win via 7-6 the Tuesday night division with the first ever RFFL championship!

2026 Summer Sunday AM Men’s Championship

Depending champ Moco Express was 0-4 to start the summer season but closed the regular season with a doubleheader win. They then proceeded to overcome their seeding and win three games on Sunday to conclude it all with a comeback win in the championship game in triple overtime.

It was a terrific championship game. Shout out to the City Reapers!

Final score - 14 to 13 in triple overtime!

Registration for the Fall 2026 Rockville Flag Football League (RFFL) is officially LIVE! Whether you are bringing back a championship-caliber team, joining as a small group, or signing up solo as a free agent, we have four distinct divisions available this season.

⚡ SPECIAL FALL JUMP START BONUS (FIRST TEAMS TO REGISTER!)

The FIRST team to register in each bracket (Weekend vs. Weeknight) locks in our absolute lowest lump sum price of the year!

Weekend Bonus Price ($500 Team Lump Sum): Valid for the 1st team to register and PAY for Saturday AM COED or Sunday AM Men’s.

RFFL Community,

We are issuing a policy reminder regarding substitute players and game-day rosters.

Unlike other leagues, RFFL’s top priority is avoiding forfeits at all costs. We go out of our way to make sure every scheduled game gets played, but we need your help—and proper process—to make it work.

How We Prevent Forfeits Together:

Communication: Players must reply promptly to captain roll calls, and captains must report attendance to the League Office.

League Assistance: When informed early, the League Office will help find subs to ensure your game goes on.

Substitute Guidelines:

Purpose: Subs exist solely to reach roster minimums (plus up to 2 extra players) so games aren't forfeited. They are not intended to help teams gain a competitive edge.

League Assignment: Captains cannot recruit outside subs or stack teams. The League Office handles all sub assignments and gives priority to active, paying members.

Payment: Because we are a pay-to-play league, free sub play only applies when the League Office explicitly asks a member to fill in. Every rostered player must be paid before playing that season for that team

Playoffs: All playoff sub approvals are handled exclusively by the League Office under the guidelines per our website's "Library" section

Moving forward, we will be monitoring game rosters to protect the playing time of our paying teams.
