DYK: the traditional New Year's Eve song "Auld Lang Syne" is an old Scottish song, first written down in the 1700s. (yes, that is the correct spelling.) Most people do pronounce it correctly: "old lang sign". It is loosely translated at times gone by." So, whatever you do this New Year's Eve, when this song starts up, sing # confident that you at least know what the most well-know part means. Happy New Year everyone.

Learning about new sports? Wanting to try some? Check out this It’s called “This or That” the SUMMER OLYMPICS EDITION! It presents actual footage of Olympic events, and the kids pick the one they want to do (hence This or That). Then these great animated figures show you the exercises to do to prepare for that sport. It’s narrated and has a countdown to keep them on track. There’s so much going on in the video that the kids will stay focused on the screen.
