Returning from a Landscape Architect convention, the attendees and visitors were at one with a single negative evaluation of the parks our community provides. The terms employed range from distorted, unbalanced, and discriminatory. Why? Team sports, contact sports, and aggressive ball playing exclude far more than they include. Where are the more passive, gentler noncompetitive even self-competitive opportunities for the differently able? That’s why the Architect looks at Bankshot with interest.

Visit Kalahari Resort in Sandusky, Ohio to experience the first Bankshot Playcourt played half in the swimming pool and the second half on the patio. So often are we hearing how Bankshot and the campgrounds are so compatible. Also the differently able are too frequently underserved in camping. Bankshot is an attractive remedy. Bankshot in resorts and in campgrounds are increasingly making a lot of families happy including those with differently able members. Intergenerational families will find the game a magnate. Much fun, much family, much socialization. Bankshot was recognize with The Landscape Architect Design Award 2021 Bankshot brightens the landscape.
