Some days when I walk into the dojo and average age is 60+, all I call this class "A gathering of old men." relishing the idea that, " Old age and treachery, beats youth and exuberance." any day. 😆 🤣 😂

A New Year’s Resolution Worth Keeping—Join Us on the Mat.

As the new year begins, many of us are looking for ways to move with intention, find balance, and reconnect with ourselves and our community. At Aikido RVA in Rockville, VA, we invite you to make a different kind of resolution—one rooted in presence, practice, and personal growth.

Aikido is more than a martial art. It is a discipline of harmony, a moving meditation that builds strength, flexibility, focus, and calm. On the mat, we learn how to meet challenges without force, how to fall and rise again, and how to move through conflict with clarity and respect.

Whether you are brand new to Aikido or returning after time away, the new year is the perfect moment to begin. Our dojo is a welcoming space where people of all backgrounds train together, support one another, and grow—one class at a time.

If your resolution is to care for your body, steady your mind, and be part of a thoughtful, engaged community, we invite you to step onto the mat with us.
Start the year grounded. Start the year in motion.

Join us at Aikido RVA.
