Honored and humbled to be inducted into the North American Indigenous Athletics Hall of Fame as both an Athlete and Coach in the sport of lacrosse.
Last year, I had the honor of being inducted into the Akwesasne Hall of Fame — the community where I was born and raised. To now also be recognized on the North American Indigenous stage is something I truly never take for granted.
As a proud member of the Mohawk Nation, this recognition means even more because lacrosse has always been more than a sport to our people — it is medicine, culture, identity, and a way of life.
This game has taken me around the world, introduced me to lifelong brothers and sisters, and taught me lessons far beyond the floor and field. I’m grateful to everyone who has been part of the journey — teammates, players, coaches, family, mentors, and the communities that supported me along the way.
Congratulations to all of the other incredible inductees and worthy candidates being recognized. Truly honored to stand alongside so many people who have given so much to Indigenous athletics and our communities.
The work continues. 🥍
