A beautiful morning for our Farewell Workout! The campers are now on the way home! The buses left camp around 1:15pm and should be to Wantagh HS between 4-5pm.

Congrats to our campers in the Leadership Academy! Today, they put all they learned this week into the Communication Challenge! It’s an obstacle course created using mini hurdles, skills ladders and hexagon hoops. The group is broken up into teams of two. One member is then blindfolded while waiting for specific instructions from their partner who is not blindfolded to get them through the obstacles safely to the other side. Once the blindfolded member is through to the other side, they switch roles and come back to the start. Both members had to use the leaderships traits they learned throughout days 1,2 (ie: communication, confidence, compassion and courage) to get through the course. Communication being the most important trait being put to practice today. Attention to specific detailed instructions as well as active listening was the key to their success today. Wishing you all a great year… BE A LEADER!!!

Our last full day at Foundation Sport Camps! Lots of activities planned, including break-out sessions with our friends from NIKE! And, of course, the TALENT SHOW is tonight!!
Looking ahead at tomorrow's departure; the buses will be departing camp at 1pm. We'll keep you posted on arrival time to Wantagh HS, but usually around 4pm. If you are picking up your camper, please arrive here between 1-1:30pm.
