Founded in 2024, our goalie school works on the fundamentals of goaltending with young goalies as they develop their skill and love for the game.

Lights Out Goaltending will focus on the fundamentals of goaltending constantly working on improving young goaltenders: skating, positioning, coordination, puck-handling, and overall knowledge of the game. All at an affordable price. We believe, no matter the age, experience, or size of your goalie, every goalie deserves a chance. We believe every goalie can reach their full potential and their go

als through hard work and dedication to the game and position. I believe the most important aspect of any athlete, at any position, is being coachable, and at Lights Out Goaltending, your goalie receives coaching from some of the most experienced and knowledgeable goaltending coaches in the game. We hope that you allow our school to be apart of your goalie’s journey, and have your goalie be apart of ours!

Last December Joe Bertagna put on an auction for his sports themed needlepoint artwork in order to raise funds for The Sports Museum based out of TD Garden. Through the auction, I won a custom needlepoint from my longtime mentor, Joe Bertagna.

This weekend, we met for lunch where he presented the unbelievable piece of artwork he put together. This needlepoint took over 8,000 stitches and was done completely by hand. This piece demonstrates our strong relationship that has been built over the last decade. I am beyond fortunate to be able to call Joe my mentor as well as a dear friend.

We are so excited to announce our 3rd annual week-long goaltending camp! The camp will be held at the Raymond J. Bourque Arena at Endicott College in Beverly, MA. The camp dates are July 13th-17th, and the on-ice time everyday is 3:00pm-4:50pm.

The cost of the camp this summer is $375, but we are once again doing an Early Bird Special where if you get your application, waiver, and 50% deposit in by May 1st the cost is $350. As we would like to maintain our strong goalie to coach ratio of 4:1, the camp is capped out at 24 goaltenders.

With the holidays right around the corner we are excited to release new Lights Out Goaltending merch!!! We have a new hoodie, athletic shirt, and a pom pom hat for you to be ready for this winter season. All merchandise items have limited quantities, so act fast!

As always, 50% of proceeds from LOG merchandise will be donated to the Derek Hines Fund. The Derek Hines Fund supports Massachusetts’ soldiers, and their families, who have incurred serious, career ending, and life altering injuries while on active duty. Last night’s small group sessions concluded the summer for Lights Out Goaltending. Our 2nd summer was a blast and a huge success! I enjoyed making new connections with new goalies and building on previous connections with goalies from our first summer. There was a lot of growth from our goalies this summer and I am super excited for all their seasons to begin! A big thanks to everyone who made this summer a great one! See you all soon!!
