Thanks again Schooner Olad and crew! We had a great time

We had so much fun sailing with the Rockport Boat Club Youth Sailing Program this week! It was a great opportunity for some young sailors to explore Penobscot Bay and experience sailing on a larger boat than they're used to!

Many of our captains and crew members began their sailing experience with the RBC Youth Sailing Program as students and instructors. Here's to the next generation of Penobscot Bay's sailors!

The Youth Sailing Program will be launching the fleet this Saturday at 9:30am at the Marine Park in Rockport. Volunteers are encouraged to come join us. There are jobs for all ages and physical abilities. We will be washing and waxing the boats, stepping the masts, launching the boats and transporting them out to the dock and moorings. Hope to see you Saturday!

It has been a busy week at RBC. Fleet Launch, repairs and rigging. The first Friday night BBQ.

If you haven't been down to visit the boat club yet stop by this Sunday between 9-1 for The Welcome Back Bash, an open house hosted by Youth Sailing.

All are welcome to come by and see what the youth sailing program in Rockport Harbor is all about.

There will be lawn games and activities, a sailing demonstration, and snacks and hot dogs.
