I have 2 beautiful kids & married to an amazing husband. In school, I was very athletic and active. Then, adult life happened and although I still maintained great shape, I was eating very unhealthy and would workout every once in a while. After having kids, my world changed. Not only did I have the responsibility to be the best mom I could be, but I ended up losing myself in the process. I put my

self last and as a result my workouts rarely happened. One day, I took my daughter to softball practice and I was so exhausted and I could hardly run around the bases with her. That was my "I had enough" moment. I finally made the decision to take care of myself so I can be around and play with my kids. I didn't want to just sit on the sideline & watch them. I want to practice with them and show them things that I used to be able to do! So I began doing some research, started incorporating healthy food choices, went to the gym, and found Dance Fitness with Jessica Bass! Dance Fitness provides a great workout and makes you feel good about yourself. It gives you the chance to prove to yourself that you can do it! The workouts are so much fun! We do tons of squats and moves to work your core, lose weight, and tone up! I hope that you will join me in my fitness journey and let's get in shape together!!

It doesn’t matter what size you are right now. You have to learn to love yourself & not hate your body.
I have always said that if I lose the weight I’ll feel better. I won’t have to buy plus size clothes anymore, I will look better in shorts & I felt like until I reached that point, I would always be disgusted with how I look.
I do still get in my feelings & get nervous about wearing shorts or a bathing suit. But I work at keeping a positive mindset everyday. It’s not easy. But I try cause I have the choice in how I will feel thru out the day.
Now that I’ve been exercising & really pushing myself each workout past exhaustion, I get proud of my body & what it can do. Doesn’t matter if I’m bigger than everyone, I just lifted a s**t ton of weight. Doesn’t matter if I’m bigger, I just ran further than I ever have before. Doesn’t matter if I’m bigger, I showed the f**k up!
I want to feel strong.
I want to feel good.
I want to be able to take long walks with my family & not be hurting.
I want to be able to move furniture in my house.
I want to be able to pick up my kids if they get hurt.
I want to not rely on others to do stuff for me because I’m so weak.
I want to play with my kids for longer than 15 minutes before feeling like I can’t breath anymore.
What do you want to feel better about? Figure out your why & do something today that makes you feel good about yourself.
Our bodies can do so much but we let our mindset stop it from doing what it’s capable of. We let the number on the scale or the size of our clothes define who we are & how we feel.
Today, work on loving yourself. Right now.

I remember when I couldn’t hold a plank for more than 15 seconds. Today I was able to knock out 5 rounds of 30 seconds planks & felt pretty good about it.

📷& a Big shoutout to my camerawoman lol. I asked Nahla why she kept zooming in & she said she wanted to make sure everyone knew it was me. 😂 I think they will figure it out hun but thank you lol.

💁🏽‍♀️I have to modify exercises.

🤷🏽‍♀️I don’t always lift super heavy.

🙅🏽‍♀️I for sure do more walking then jogging like everyone else.

😆I’m definitely not the fittest person there!

🙌🏽But I still go! Why?

Because I want to be better at all those things. I found a group of people that I enjoy working out with.
