We traveled 4 Hours to Northeastern Maine to compete in the East Grand Lake Ice Fishing Derby, targeting landlocked salmon and lake trout on the hard water.

Sometimes a fishing day can be made with one flag! This fish fought hard, made powerful runs, and did everything it could to avoid coming out of the ice hole. An intense 5+ min battle in brutally cold conditions led to an unforgettable moment and Chris' personal best brown trout. Proof that sometimes all it takes is one flag to make the entire day worth it.

We both successfully connected with two bucks during this hunting season. We are thankful for the meat we will have this winter, especially for the upcoming ice fishing season.
