Hey Arsenal Fam!
It’s bittersweet to say this chapter has come to a close. After 19 years of coaching baseball, it’s time to turn in the clipboard and simply be a dad.
I’ve struggled to put these emotions into words—heartbreak, pride, gratitude—all wrapped together. What started as a simple role as a dugout dad grew into a true passion for coaching. For me, it was always about the boys and girls I had the privilege to coach, and about showing them that this game is more than wins and losses. Baseball teaches lessons that reach far beyond the field, lessons that help shape who we become off of it.
To the players, the coaches, and the kids—
What a journey. What a family. What an absolute privilege it has been to walk beside you.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. It has truly been an honor.
The ending hurts—but the story is unforgettable. And when you pour your heart into something this fully, there is nothing to hang your head about.

Blood, sweat and tears…more like muddy, wet and rain 🤣

Arsenal Baseball had a great weekend at the TL Spook-Tacular, finishing 2-1 and bringing home the Silver Championship!

We started off a little flat in the first game and came up just short, but the boys really responded. In game two, they turned it around with some big hits and solid defense, and by game three, everything was clicking — strong pitching, great at-bats, sharp defense, and smart base running across the board.

What stood out most was how the team kept getting better each game. The effort, attitude, and focus on improvement really paid off. As coaches, we couldn’t be prouder of how they competed and came together this weekend.

We were back in action this past weekend and what a wet and nasty day it was. We went 1-1. We didn’t make it to the championship game but that’s ok. Some bounces didn’t go our way and that’s ok also, some hits didn’t go our way and that’s ok, and we made mistakes and that’s ok. It’s the game of baseball and you can play really well and yet still lose. What I saw was a team improving and getting better. We cut our errors waayyy down, we had a game where we didn’t give up a run, we played as a team, we pitched well and we grew as a team. That’s all I can ask for.

Out scored opponents 15-4
2 errors committed
2 pickle plays that resulted in outs

This was a complete turnaround from our last tournament. Hard work is paying off. Keep putting it all together boys. Keep grinding.
