I'm excited to get started with the Summer Outdoor Strength Series starting this Thursday. June 11th, 2026 !

A few people noticed the dates aren't the usual Tuesday/Thursday pattern. That's intentional.

However,
Same format, same workout, same community. 💜💪

This is an all-levels outdoor workout designed to help you build strength, consistency, and confidence throughout the summer.

What to Bring

✔ Water

✔ Yoga mat or towel

✔ Hand weights ( 3, 5, 8 or 10lbs depending on your level)

✔ Comfortable workout clothes

✔ Athletic shoes

No need to be in shape before you come. That's what we're here for. 😊

Summer Outdoor Strength Training is Back! ☀️💪

After our Spring Outdoor Training and Pre-Camino Training, several people asked if we'd continue through the summer...

So we're doing it.

We'll meet at Clark Dominguez Park for walking, hills, strength training, stretching, and a little community as the sun goes down.

Nothing fancy.
Nothing intimidating.

Just a chance to move your body, build strength, and enjoy being outside with good people.

TRAINING HILL IS BACK ⛰️💙

Our first official Group Training Hill Hike of the season is happening Saturday, May 30th.

This is such a great hike for:
– first-timers
– summer hiking prep
– Camino training
– testing your current pace/time
– or simply getting outside and challenging yourself a little

The hike is approximately 5 miles total.

The first mile is the challenge 😅
Steady uphill climbing that can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on pace and experience.

But once you reach the top, the views open up and the rest becomes much easier and more enjoyable.

This is NOT a race.
All levels are welcome.
We regroup, support each other, and enjoy the experience together.

⛰️ FIRST-TIMERS / GROUP START
Meet at 6:30 AM at Gate #150 (Training Hill)
150 CA-193, Auburn, CA 95603

⛰️ EXPERIENCED HIKERS
If you already know the route and want to hike at your own pace, feel free to meet us at the TOP around 8:00 AM.

Bring:
✔️ Water
✔️ Trail shoes
✔️ Snacks
✔️ Hat/sunscreen
✔️ Trekking poles if you use them

No pressure.
Just show up.

Challenge yourself.
Enjoy the view.

SAVE THE DATE 👣⛰️
Saturday, May 30th

First Official Training Hill Hike of the Season

Many of you already know “Training Hill” 😅
…but this will be our first GROUP hike out there together this year.

Whether it’s:
• your first time ever
• your first time this season
• or you just want to come test your legs again…
this is your invitation.

The hike is approximately 5 miles total, with the first mile being a steady uphill climb.

Depending on pace, that first section can take anywhere from 30 minutes to about an hour — but once you reach the top, the rest opens up beautifully.

We’ll walk it together, regroup along the way, and support all levels.

This is also a perfect goal to train for during the upcoming Pre-Camino Online Training 🌿

More details coming soon, but for now…

It’s a short Pre-Camino Training — similar to the 100 Miles/50 Days, just a follow-along format to help you stay moving, a little motivated, and consistent over the next few weeks.

Nothing complicated.
Just walking, a little strength, and something to come back to each day.

You can do this from wherever you are, on your own schedule.

The program is designed for:
• future Camino walkers
• summer hikers
• or anyone wanting a little structure, accountability, and momentum right now

“I wish I could go… but I’m not in shape.”
“I think it’s probably too late…”

I’ve been hearing this a lot lately—and I get it. Most people feel that way before their first Camino.

But here’s the truth:
You don’t start ready… you become ready.

And there is still plenty of time.

We don’t leave until the end of August, and training is just beginning:

🌿 Pre-Camino training starts May 10 (online, open to anyone)
🌿 Full 12-week Camino training begins in June
🌿 A couple of outdoor training sessions still coming up

You don’t have to live near me.
You don’t have to be in perfect shape.
And you don’t have to walk every mile to have the experience.

This is a supported, flexible journey—designed for real people.

If something in you has been thinking about it…

it’s not too late. 🤍

It was at THIS EXACT CHURCH, along the Camino, near Zubiri…
a nun looked at me and asked,

“May I impress upon you?”
I didn’t understand at first.

I just stood there, a little confused.
And then I realized—

she was asking if she could hug me.

Not assume.
Not take.
Just… ask.

And in that simple moment,
it felt like something deeper was being offered—
kindness, presence, permission to just be human.

The Camino offers small blessings for you in quiet ways.
Sometimes… it’s just a hug you didn’t know you needed.
