🌧️ When Mother Nature Says “Cart Path Only”… and Then Takes Away the Cart Path! ⛳️😂
Viera East has received a significant amount of rain, and unfortunately, the course has reached the point where it simply needs time to drain and recover.
While a little rain is great for the grass, too much water saturates the soil, leaving fairways, greens, and cart paths unable to properly drain. Allowing play in these conditions can cause serious turf damage from carts and foot traffic, create deep ruts and compaction, and lead to longer-term course conditions that take much more time to repair.
So while we know our golfers would probably play in rain boots if we let them 😉, the course is closed today to protect the turf and keep everyone safe.
Our maintenance team will continue monitoring conditions and working to get Viera East back into playing shape as soon as Mother Nature gives us a break.
