BodysurfUS One with the wave. Bodysurfing in the sunshine state and around the world. I’ve been riding waves my entire life. If you haven’t seen it you should. So here it is.

Most of the time on a surfboard but lots of my time in the water has involved bodysurfing. Usually on days when it’s choppy or closed out or just not worth it on a surfboard (which can be a lot of days for a wave rider in this state). But more and more over the years as I’ve really taken the time to focus on riding waves at surface level and figured out how completely shacked out of your mind you

can get bodysurfing I find myself checking the inside before turning my eyes further out. Looking for those wedgy peaks racing across the inside sandbar and blowing spray out the end. Many times my board sits on the sand while I ride the waves unencumbered. A while ago my cousin stopped in for a visit from California and turned me on to Keith Malloy’s film Come Hell or High Water (http://www.woodshed.com/?p=1314). I’ve watched it over and over again and get stoked every time. Well it’s made me look at bodysurfing in a fresh light and I thought I’d like a place to share some of my stoke and post photos related to bodysurfing here in Florida specifically but also the endeavor generally.
