Located in Rockland, MA, South Shore Tae Kwon Do's goal it to produce champions in life as well as in the martial arts. Hey students, parents, and friends!

Master Whitman and the Rockland Day committee have been planning for a fun weekend for everyone. Tonight we open up Rockland Day weekend with a FREE concert event at 6:00 P.M. at the Rockland High School outside stage area. We have The Real Last Call Band of Boston - Rockland Day Concert Series 2026 playing and there will be kid friendly activities, Sarcastic Swine food truck and Smile by the Miles Ice Cream truck.

Tomorrow is Rockland Day 2026 which starts at 2:00 P.M. at the Veterans Memorial Stadium behind the high school. There will be food trucks, vendors, beer garden, live entertainment, a flying dog show, and fireworks. SSTKD will be holding a booth and doing a demonstration. Please come cheer us on.

Great job to the teens and adults who belt tested last night! A special congratulations goes out to Emily, Lydia, Billy, Max, and Jake as they tested and passed onto their 1st degree black belts.

Day 2 of belt testing today!!

Students and parents, here are the rules for belt testing which starts tonight:
- Make sure you show up for the proper time and date of your belt test. Schedule is posted at the school and pictured here, no changes can be made. Take note that it is different than normal class schedule. If you're not belt testing, there are no regular classes tonight through Saturday.
- Make sure you wear full CLEAN uniform and belt. No t-shirts. If you come without your full uniform or belt, you can not belt test.
- Make sure they are on time for belt testing. Not even a minute late. Once the test starts, no one else is allowed on the floor.
- If at all possible, leave all family members behind. Only one parent/guarding will be allowed at the test to minimize distractions.
- Absolutely no sideline coaching. This is an automatic fail. Remember we want to know what the students know, not what the parents know.
- Absolutely no pictures or videos allowed at the test. The students should be focused on the test, not posing for pictures or distracted by a flash going off (yes this has happened). This also is an automatic fail for the test.
- After the test, please don't contact us to ask how they did. They will find out starting on Monday June 22nd.

Tonight's belt testing schedule is as follows:
- Little Dragons 5:15-5:45 P.M.
- Junior Novice 5:45-6:30 P.M.
- Junior Int./Adv. 6:30-7:15 P.M.

Christmas in July!

Our summer fundraiser calendar raffle as begun!
Each calendar is $10.

All proceeds go toward helping Rockland families in need during the holidays.

The calendars are available for sale at Amos A Phelps, Rockland Garden Center, Willow Tree Donut, and South Shore Tae Kwon Do.
You will find posters in local businesses around town with QR codes.

Last class before belt testing starts tomorrow!! We will be working on sparring, forms and self defense in all classes today! Please bring your full sparring gear, bo, nunchucks, or kamas.

We have the following events coming up:

Congratulations to those that tested this past weekend! All the under belts will be testing this week on Wednesday, Thursday, or Saturday. We will be working on forms and self defense in the Little Dragon and Junior classes, sparring in the teen/adult classes today! Please bring your full sparring gear (teens and adults), bo, nunchucks, or kamas.

Yesterday we had 12 of our students test for 2nd and 3rd degree black belt. It was a long test lasting over 3 hours with other Tae Kwon Do students from local schools. Sometimes their body said no, but their mind and heart said yes. We look forward to them receiving their new belts on Thursday June 25th at the June 2026 Black Belt/Under Belt Graduation Ceremony.

We will be working on sparring, forms, and self defense in all classes today! Please bring your full sparring gear, bo, nunchucks, or kamas. Belt testing starts in less than a week!!

All "To Do" lists are due by today. Also today is the last day to make any changes to the belt testing schedule, see the front desk.
