🥎 LAST CHANCE! TRYOUTS ARE TONIGHT! 🥎

This is your final opportunity to earn a spot in the South Shore Patriots Softball program for the 2026–2027 season!

One of the biggest advantages of being a Patriot is having our own indoor training facility. While the weather may change, our commitment to player development never does. Our athletes train year-round in a dedicated environment built to maximize skill development, confidence, and preparation for the next level.

This weekend reminded us that softball is so much more than a game.

On Saturday morning, we unexpectedly lost our friend Dave Morgan. Our hearts are with the Morgan family as they navigate an unimaginable loss.

To the Morgan family, there are no words that can truly ease the pain of this loss. Please know that you are surrounded by a softball family that loves you, stands beside you, and will continue to be here for you in the days, months, and years ahead.

I also want to recognize these 11 incredible young women. They showed what being a teammate truly means. They put their own emotions aside, showed up for their friend, wrapped their arms around her, and played with love, compassion, and strength.

The scoreboard didn’t matter this weekend. Character did. And these girls demonstrated more character than any coach could ever ask for.

Dave’s love, encouragement, and presence will forever be part of this team through his daughter and through the countless memories he helped create.

We will honor him by continuing to support one another, cherish every moment together, and never take a single day for granted.

Rest in peace, Dave. You will be deeply missed, never forgotten, and always a part of the South Shore Patriots Softball family. ❤️🥎

🚨Update for tonight’s tryout🚨

The safety of our players, families, and coaches is always our top priority. Due to the forecast of thunderstorms and the potential of severe weather, we have made the decision to move tryouts inside to our Patriots Training Facility (406 VFW Drive, Rockland.) While we know everyone was looking forward to being on the field, we want to ensure a safe environment for all participants. We have a slight time adjustment to the schedule:

10U- Check in at 5:00 (Try out 5-6)

12U- Check in at 5:30 (Try out 6-7:30)

14U/16U/18U- Check in at 6:45 (Try Out 7:30-8:30)

We ask all players wear turf shoes or sneakers- No cleats on the turf.

Lastly due to the high volume of players attending try outs, the venue space is limited and we will be asking any current SSP player to not attend this evening. We look forward to seeing you all at the future tryout dates. Thank you for your understanding.
