Fore! The Love of Animals Golf Tournament had a great turnout at Ingersoll Golf Course today. There were almost 60 golfers supporting this wonderful organization, and the weather was perfect. Thank you again for allowing us to host your tournament again.

We had a good turnout today at the Ingersoll Golf Course for the Junior Tour Stop, and we were able to finish before the thunderstorms. Congratulations to all the winners. Boys: (17-18) 1st place-LD shooting a 73, 2nd place-LT shooting a 75 and winning the tiebreaker, and 3rd place-TB shooting a 75. (15-16) 1st place- NR shooting a 77, 2nd place-LM finishing with a 78, and 3rd place-IS shooting an 80. (13-14) 1st place-IP shooting a 69, 2nd place-CN finishing with a 76, and 3rd place-CH shooting an 81. (11-12) 1st place-NK and 2nd place-JS. (9-10) 1st place-CJ and 2nd place-CL. Girls: (17-18) 1st place-AB shooting a 105. (15-16) 1st place-RD shooting 95. (13-14) 1st place SC shooting a 108, 2nd place- EB finishing with 111, and 3rd place-LM shooting a 114. (11-12)1st place-AK, and 2nd place-AR.

It was a bit rainy yesterday, at the Rockford District Junior Tour Stop at The Mauh-Na-Tee-See Country Club, however, we saw some great golf. Congratulations to all the winners. It was a beautiful day at the Melvin Ballard Golf Tournament at Ingersoll Golf Course. Winning the Mixed Doubles Division was the team of Emma Pierson and Jackson Tennis won shooting a 63. Winning the Championship Flight was the team of Cody Rhymer and Kyle Rhymer won shooting a 64. In second place was the team of John Krischke and Rob Pete with a 65, and in 3rd place was the team of Eric Arnold and Ryan Arnold finishing with a 66. Congratulations everyone!!

We believe golf teaches valuable life lessons far beyond the game itself. Recently, our Middle School Golf Program gave 250 youth across 17 teams the opportunity to experience the game and all it has to offer. We focused on removing barriers to entry by welcoming beginners and providing clubs for students who needed them. Our staff had the opportunity to serve as mentors, giving back to the next generation and sharing how golf has shaped their own lives, and they took that opportunity in full swing!

After construction began in August 2025, the $2 million bunker renovation at Aldeen Golf Club was completed this April. The project was made possible through 100% donor funding, with generous support from The Norris and Margaret Aldeen Foundation for Rockford, and Rick and Lana Engen.

The renovation includes 70,000 square feet of PGA Tour–style white sand and makes Aldeen Golf Club the only course in the region to feature the Better Billy Bunker system—an advanced bunker drainage solution designed to improve post-rain playability, and reduce long-term maintenance needs.
