The facility's primary feature will be the multi-use off road trail system. The system will include a perimeter trail which will be approximately 10 feet wide and non-technical in nature. This trail will be ideal for milder uses in the summer and xc ski grooming in the winter. Throughout the interior of the park the trails will vary from traditional "single track" offerings to wider flow trails with purpose built features such as rollers, gap-less jumps and berms. The interior trails will range from mild to technical to suit all skill levels. All trails will be mapped and clearly marked with way-finding signage. The trail system will be professionally designed and purpose-built to be the best of its kind and size. The completed facility will complement the existing Seth B. Atwood Outdoor Educational Center bringing a host of new options for outdoor recreational and educational programming for children, helping to create whole new generation of healthier, happier kids. Finally, we plan to complete the project minimizing the use of using local tax dollars by seeking out grants and private sources of revenue.
