🌷🐴 Spring is almost here at Windy Acres Stable! 🐴🌷

We are getting so excited to welcome back all of our wonderful returning riders for another season of learning, confidence building, and barn memories. Warmer days and horse time are just around the corner!

To all returning clients from last year — please make sure you fill out the form as soon as possible.
This will help us begin organizing lesson schedules and planning for an exciting spring and summer.

🌼 New clients: We are so excited to meet you!
The form will be available to all new riders in about 7 days once returning families have had a chance to confirm their spots.

We can’t wait to see familiar and new faces back at the barn, hear the sound of hooves on warmer days, and watch our riders continue to build confidence and horsemanship skills. 💚

Thank you for always supporting Windy Acres Stable — our horse family means everything to us!

Please reach out if you have any questions.

Being a good horseman means more than riding. Today a few of our students explored Pilates to build balance, core, strength and mental focus- because the better we understand and strengthen our own bodies, the better partners we become for our horses! Thank you Caylin.

Merry Christmas Windy Acres Family! We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Christmas! ❤️💚❤️💚🐴❤️💚❤️💚❤️

Merry Christmas Windy Acres Family!
We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Christmas! ❤️💚❤️💚🐴❤️💚❤️💚❤️

The barn on Christmas Eve
feels different.

The world outside is busy—
lights glowing,
music playing,
lists still unfinished.

But here…
everything slows.

The aisle is quieter.
The air feels softer.
Even the horses seem to know
this night is meant for stillness.

There’s something sacred
about walking into the barn on Christmas Eve.
The familiar smells.
The gentle sounds.
The way the noise of the world
stays outside the door.

You move a little slower.
You speak a little softer.
You linger longer than usual,
even when there’s nothing left to do.

A hand rests on a warm neck.
A breath fogs in the cold air.
Time stretches in the most gentle way.

The barn doesn’t ask for celebration.
It doesn’t need decorations or lights.
It just exists—
steady, honest, grounding.

And somehow,
that’s exactly what your heart needs.

The barn on Christmas Eve
is where gratitude settles in quietly.
Where you reflect on the year—
the hard parts,
the healing,
the moments you didn’t think you’d make it through
until you did.

It’s where you feel the presence
of the horses who carried you through it all.
The ones still standing beside you.
The ones who live on in memory.

There’s peace here
that doesn’t need explaining.
A reminder that not everything meaningful
comes wrapped or announced.

Some of the most important gifts
are found in moments like this—
standing in a stall,
listening to steady breathing,
feeling your own heart finally slow down.

The barn on Christmas Eve
feels like a pause the world rarely gives.
A moment to breathe.
To be present.
To remember what matters.

And when you finally turn out the lights
and step back into the cold night air,
you carry something with you—
a calm that lingers,
a peace that stays.

Because while the world celebrates loudly,
the barn celebrates quietly.

And for those of us who understand,
that quiet
is the most beautiful part of all.
