Games for tonight, Thursday, August 13th have been cancelled. Though our maintenance crew did a great job getting the diamonds ready after today's weather, this last bout of rain made the diamonds unplayable. Games will be rescheduled and managers will be notified ASAP. The online schedule will also be updated this evening.

The Baseball For All National Tournament continues throughout the week at our Mercyhealth Sportscore facilities! We're excited to host 76 teams and more than 1,000 players representing communities across the United States and countries including Brazil, South Africa, Australia, and Canada.

This is what 250 teams competing across two nationally recognized sports complexes looks like! In partnership with Go Rockford, we were excited to host the 5th Annual Team Illinois Lacrosse Summer Invitational & Showcase, one of the largest tournaments we host each year.

This three-day event filled both Mercyhealth Sportscore One and Mercyhealth Sportscore Two, welcoming teams from Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, and Arizona. Events of this scale take a huge Park District effort, from field operations and traffic management to concessions, guest services, and tournament logistics. Staff from departments across the Rockford Park District also volunteered their time on Saturday and Sunday, helping ensure every athlete and visitor had a great experience throughout the weekend.

Rockford and Loves Park are home to two of the nation's Top 10 sports facilities according to the Sports Tourism Index! 🏆

Throughout the year, these complexes welcome tournaments that bring hundreds, and often thousands, of athletes, coaches, and spectators to our region. Just as importantly, they give local athletes the opportunity to utilize nationally ranked sports facilities to learn a sport or develop a lifelong skill.

Unfortunately, the humidity prevented the diamonds from drying out after last night's rain, and the fields are not playable. Church League, League Joe, and Ken Rock Youth Softball are cancelled for this evening.
