Blackhawk Athletic Club 15U Fall To Canes IL 15u Scout After Surrendering Big Fifth Inning

Canes IL 15u Scout defeated Blackhawk Athletic Club 15U 8-0 on Sunday at Northern Illinois University thanks in part to six runs in the fifth inning.
Canes IL 15u Scout got on the board in the bottom of the fourth inning after Ryan Kane laid down a sacrifice bunt, and Tony Aguado singled down the right field line, each scoring one run.
Canes IL 15u Scout scored six runs on three hits in the bottom of the fifth inning. Kane doubled, scoring two runs, Kellan Sherman singled, scoring two runs, Dylan Molina doubled, scoring one run, and Greyson Busch hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.
Brayden Anderson stepped on the bump first for Blackhawk Athletic Club 15U. The southpaw gave up three hits and two runs (one earned) over four innings, striking out one and walking two. Molina opened the game for Canes IL 15u Scout. The pitcher gave up one hit and zero runs over three and one-third innings, striking out four and walking four.
Mason Burleson and Anderson were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected one hit for Blackhawk Athletic Club 15U. Blackhawk Athletic Club 15U had patience at the plate, piling up six walks for the game. Emmanuel Del Real and Bryson Briggs led the team with two walks each. Blackhawk Athletic Club 15U turned one double play in the game.
Kane drove the middle of the lineup, leading Canes IL 15u Scout with three runs batted in. The shortstop went 1-for-2 on the day.
