’Twas the night before dance class, and all through the town,
RBDC dancers were settling down.
Their dance bags were packed and their shoes by the door,
Ready to dance, learn, laugh, and explore.
The leotards waited, the tights were all set,
Hair ties and water bottles—don’t let us forget!
While teachers prepared for the season ahead,
Visions of pliés and pirouettes danced in each head.
The studios are ready, the barres are in place,
And soon there’ll be music and smiles in each space.
From ballet to jazz, hip hop, tap, and more,
We can’t wait to welcome our dancers through the door.
Some will be returning to friends that they know,
While others are brand new and just starting to grow.
There may be some butterflies—that’s perfectly okay,
They usually disappear once we start to dance away!
We’ll stretch and we’ll tumble, we’ll leap and we’ll turn,
We’ll make new friends and have so much to learn.
A brand-new season is finally in sight,
And we’re much too excited to sleep well tonight!
So get some good rest—tomorrow’s the day!
The 2026–2027 season is officially underway.
We’ve missed you, dancers, and soon we’ll all say…
