For those of you that have never been down to state at Cedar Falls to see this gun club there are 35 trap houses over a mile long it is so very cool to stand at the end and look over all of them and think about how many kids compete here in a week. Over 2,000 is normal I am not sure of the number this year I am sure it is closer to 3,000. These kids put a lot of time into this sport that they love and I am so glad I get to be part of it.

I want to give a shout out to these bearded beauties right here for all time they have put into to coaching the kids this season. Your hard work has not gone unnoticed and we THANK YOU!! A BIG shout to Dan our head coach who does our grant writing and keeps the behind the scenes things running smoothly. The bearded beauties came at the beginning of the season when they had their beards and it stuck. Little did they know when an image was made as a joke it would be made into a shirt for them LOL 🙂.

Membership Night- Wednesday, April 1
Raffle tickets will be sold for $750.00 Scheels Gift Card- drawing on April 22
Starts at 6:30- bring own plate & silverware
Traps will be open at 6:00- come out & practice
League team fees can be paid on membership night- team fees= $470.00 ($30.00 sponsor fee + $440.00 for shooters)
Spring League- Starts Wednesday April 8

The Hunter's Education Field Day will be held at Lyon County Nature Center on Saturday, March 21st, 2026 from 8am - 12pm.

Be sure to bring your certificate of completion. You MUST complete the online portion of the program in advance.

All materials are provided. Bring your own snacks and drinks.
