We are pleased to share the powerful story behind the donations from the 7th Annual RCR Run. The proceeds benefited Rhyker, a vibrant 9-year-old warrior who will turn 10 on December 2nd. This commitment to community support exemplifies the mission of Run Craig Run (RCR).

Rhyker was first diagnosed with Leukemia just before his second birthday in November 2017. He relapsed in September 2021, leading the family to Denver for a bone marrow transplant and Car T-cell therapy. The cancer returned for a second time in November 2025, necessitating another move to Denver for rigorous treatment.

Despite these immense challenges, Rhyker remains resilient and strong in his faith. As his mom shares: "He’s the definition of a Warrior!! There’s No Quit in him!!"

Thank you to everyone who participated in the RCR run. Your support has been a blessing to Rhyker and his family as they face this battle again. Please continue to keep Rhyker, his mother, and his big brother in your thoughts and prayers. β€οΈβš‘οΈπŸ™πŸΌ

In loving memory of Craig D. Begay

Craig D. Begay Memorial Fund was established in 2019 to help with some of the finances that a Native American family may be going through while a family member is battling an illness in a hospital.

Craig Dante Begay was a loving father, uncle, son, brother, and husband. Craig was an exceptional athlete, he played football and ran cross country and track for his high school team. He was compassionate, adventurous, ambitious, diligent, and a courageous young man with a great sense of humor and always speaking his truth.

In 2015, Craig was injured at work which caused internal organ injuries. One year later he received multiple organ transplants in Omaha, NE. After many surgeries and countless hours spent in and out hospitals, his body was unable to accept the transplanted organs. Craig fought for his life for 3 years. Craig left this world and entered his heavenly home on November 13, 2018.

During his battle, Craig showed great faith, determination, and perseverance. He trusted and loved God, and he believed through his Savior he was able to spend 3 more years with his family, especially with his wife and 2 kids. Craig would want everyone to live in the abundance of Gods love, daily grace, and mercy. His story is based on the verse 2 Timothy 4:7. He Definitely lived and fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith.
