Wrestling season is finally upon us! March 29th at 1:30 till 2:30 will be our first open mat.

This will be a short and very different season but we can at least get some work in.

If you wrestled for us last year and are at the high school now please make sure you turned in everything to us. If you don't plan on wrestling this year and still have your stuff turn it in as well. We are missing some gear that we need to account for since the season ended abruptly. Thank you

I regret to inform you that the state tournament is cancelled, we have worked so hard to get to this point with the 2 remaining individuals and it really is awful they can't go compete. Practice today is obviously cancelled. We will turn in everything the Monday the kids return to school. I will set up a banquet date and time and it will be posted here and announced at the school. It was a fun ride this year and I enjoyed coaching you 8th graders. 7th graders I will inform you on potential off-season stuff.

Edison had an extremely tough regional but we hung in there advancing 7 of our young men into sectionals. Everyone wrestled very well and just missed with a few of our guys. Congrats to maddix taking 3rd, Ler Bwe taking 2nd, Lamark taking 3rd, Darterius 2nd, Puckett 1st, Eli 1st, and Dee 1st

Orion Tournament Information:
Kids to school between 530AM and 545Am, no later. Bus will leave at 6AM sharp.

A light breakfast will be provided by me for the kids after weigh in. It'll be something small. Anything else they want they will have to get from the concession themselves.

They will also receive a lunch hopefully thanks to the principal.

Snacks will we provided thanks to Gina Block and I will also be providing little snacks as well.

It will be a very long day. Dinner will not be provided and idk if we will stop for dinner.

Wrestling will start at 9Am

Side Note: Unfortunately only B-team wrestlers with openings in bracket will be able to wrestle in this tournament. I was notified that only 2 of our B-team wrestlers got a spot. I will take the entire team though. Marcus Gay and Jamari Thurman are our only B-team wrestlers in the tournament. Everyone is expected to come though because it will still be a great experience for them. I will also need kids to help me and coach Shesky out.

Due to weather and lack of kids that will be at practice, we are cancelling practice tonight. Kids make sure you are on weight for the meet Tuesday. Parents please help with this.
Have a good weekend and stay out of trouble kids, remember, gentleman on and off the mat. Come prepared for Tuesday's meet then Wednesday we will have Washington.

Geneseo MEET TONIGHT IS CANCELLED.

WE WILL BE HAVING A NORMAL PRACTICE TONIGHT THOUGH. 530 PICKUP AS USUAL PLEASE.

JAN 21ST IS NOW THE GENESEO MEET. SAME TIME SAME PLACE. The following day is our Washington Meet.

JAN 23rd is a Jr High Night at Rocky for wrestlers. We will be taking the bus to and from the high school to watch them wrestle and be spoke to by Head coach Joel Stockwell. It will be a great experience for the kids. I don't have a pickup time from Edison yet but the kids can let you know when we're leaving the high school
